Borehole Eclectica

Originally made in four days for the Infinity Challenge 2025!


Borehole Eclectica is a fast-paced factory builder, with the goal of drilling as deep as possible. Each arcade-style run is a race against a descending ceiling of Tar, and the only way to outpace it is to produce increasingly complex parts to upgrade your Drill!


This is an experiment!

The mechanics, the pacing, the balance, it's all subject to change! I'm trying to make this game as fun as possible, so if you have any suggestions or feeback to give, please write about it in a comment.


Please try our tutorial!

Intuition can get you far in life, but I wouldn't recommend going in blind! The tutorial aims to explain the important controls and mechanics. If you still feel like something wasn't well explained, please let me know in a comment.


Controls

[A], [D] - Move left and right
[W], [S] - Look up and down
[Space] - Jump

[LMB] - Place structure
[RMB] - Throw bomb
[F] - Flip structure
[Q] - Cancel placement

[E] - Open inventory
[Enter] - Pause game
